Does Cupping Actually Work? An Honest Look
We're going to be honest with you, because informed clients deserve real conversations.
Does cupping actually work? The honest answer: it depends on what you mean by "work," and who you ask.
What the Research Says
Researchers have studied cupping, but most studies are small and hard to run "blind", because people can tell whether cups are on their back. That means the evidence is not settled, and we do not make medical claims about cupping or hijama.
Why People Still Book
Many clients book cupping or hijama as part of their wellness routine: for relaxation, for quiet time, as body care, or, for many Muslim clients, as a traditional Sunnah practice. Those are personal reasons, and they are valid ones.
Where We Stand
We are not anti-medicine. M.K Holistic Clinic will never ask you to stop seeing your doctor or stop any medication. We offer cupping as a complementary practice, not as a replacement for medical care.
